Keep firing at all times by holding down the spacebar for auto-fire. When extremely rapid fire is required press/depress the spacebar rapidly.

Protect your support fleet and missile turrets! With a big fleet and four missile turrets your, outpost has impressive firepower which makes your job much easier. Also, the outpost's shields can absorb a lot of punishment.

Shoot incoming enemy weapon fire to prevent damage to your outpost and ships when appropriate.

Destroy enemy ships quickly! Just like your fleet, the larger the enemy fleet is the more firepower they have.

Blast spatial mines while enemy ships are nearby for greater damage.

When mini-carriers are present, concentrate your fire-power on them. The support fleet and missile turrets will take care of the launched snub fighters.
